Neurocognitive & Physical Challenges
Practical strategies for ageing, injury and disability, so everyday tasks feel more manageable.
I love helping people to live their best lives.
I've been an OT since 2022. Before that, I spent nearly two decades as a support worker and therapy assistant for people experiencing a range of disability.
That hands-on experience, along with my own experience of neurodivergence, means I understand what you and your family might be going through.
About me
My goal is to help you build on your strengths and find practical solutions that work in your life.
I'm here to listen, work alongside you, and make sure you have the tools to live a full and meaningful life.
Nearly twenty years of hands-on experience, plus my own experience of neurodivergence, means I bring real understanding to every session. I know what it's like to navigate challenges, and I'll meet you exactly where you are.
I work mostly face to face. Therapy works best in the places where life actually happens.
Who I work with
You might be a good fit if you're:
Not sure if I'm the right fit? Get in touch and we'll work it out together.
Practical strategies for ageing, injury and disability, so everyday tasks feel more manageable.
A trauma-informed approach that helps you engage with the parts of life that matter to you. Experienced with schizophrenia, depression, anxiety, PTSD and Complex PTSD.
Setting up your home and your routines so daily life is safer and easier.
Practical support for parents juggling complex family dynamics, roles and routines.
Some days you feel like yourself; other days the mood swings, brain fog and broken sleep mean you can barely get through the day. We'll start with what matters most to you and find small, doable ways to keep doing it.
Strategies that support daily functioning and self-understanding, drawn from both professional and personal experience.
My approach
I focus on what you can do. We build on that to find a way forward that feels natural and sustainable.
Safety, trust and choice come first. I understand that what you've lived through shapes how you engage with the world.
No abstract theory. We'll build real strategies you can use straight away.
Your goals, your pace, your life. I listen first, then we make a plan that fits your world.
What to expect
Call or email. We'll have a short chat about what you're hoping to work on, and whether I'm the right fit.
We'll talk about what's working, what isn't, and what matters most to you. No pressure to have it figured out. That's what we're here for.
We'll agree on what you want to achieve, and what getting there realistically looks like. Your goals, in your words.
Regular face-to-face sessions, putting strategies into practice in the places you actually need them.
If you need documentation, I can provide functional capacity assessments and reporting.
Funding & payment options
Here's how each one works.
I work with plan-managed and self-managed NDIS participants.
OT comes out of your Capacity Building — Improved Daily Living budget. The NDIS rate for OT is $193.99 per hour. It's the same rate every day of the week.
To get started: You don't need a referral. Just get in touch with your plan details. Support coordinators and plan managers are welcome to contact me directly.
OT counts as Clinical Care, which the government funds in full. You pay nothing, whatever your income or assets.
To get started: Book an assessment through My Aged Care on 1800 200 422, or at myagedcare.gov.au. Once you have a provider, ask them to arrange OT. Already receiving services? Talk to your care partner.
If you've had a health condition for six months or more, your GP can add OT to a chronic condition management plan. Medicare then pays back $63.40 per session. You get five allied health sessions a year, shared across all the allied health you use.
To get started: Book a longer GP appointment and ask about a chronic condition management plan. Bring the referral to your first session. You'll pay in full on the day and claim the rebate back.
Worth knowing: You can't claim Medicare and private health for the same session. It's one or the other.
If this relates to a work injury or a transport accident, your insurer may cover it.
To get started: You'll need a written referral from your doctor and approval from your insurer or case manager. I invoice them directly, so there's usually nothing for you to pay.
Many extras policies cover occupational therapy.
To get started: No referral needed. Check your cover and annual limit with your fund. Pay on the day, then claim your rebate.
You can book without a referral, a plan, or a wait. Sometimes it's simply the fastest way to start.
Sessions are $193.99 per hour.
Travel to your home or community, report writing and phone calls to your other providers are charged at the same rate. Mileage is 99c per kilometre.
Cancellations with less than 48 hours notice are charged the full session fee.
NDIS participants are charged in line with the current NDIS Pricing Schedule.
You'll always get a clear quote before we start.
